Opel wanted to showcase the thousands of colour combinations available for their new car model ‘Adam’. UncleGrey came up with the idea to do this live by placing a car on the street in downtown Copenhagen and then making the car change colours instantly.

This event was shortlisted in the outdoor category at the 2013 Cannes Lions and it won the Danish internet award in the automotive category.

“An incredibly smooth and product-relevant execution.”

The colour changing car.

An Opel Adam was parked in a street in the center of Copenhagen. Projectors were hidden on the opposite side of the road. All surfaces of the car was mapped. Everything was triggered live – i.e. when a person in a blue coat approached the car could immediately turn blue or perform any other effect we wished.
